I spoke to two ambitious and willful women today. It was my purpose to help these two women in their journey. I helped shed light on a path they had already picked. I just affirmed their choices. I was there for them, to seek from.

I don’t know what the outcome of events would have been had I not been where I am. But I see why it matters to have representation. I see it. And now I can never unsee it.

I hope these women meet their goals. I wish them so much success and so much power. Today I am glad to be where I am, because it enables me to be there for others as they come.

I am here, to make space for you. To show you the path. To answer your tough questions. To give you courage. To set an example. To be your voice. To show you where you can be. And to tell you that nothing is impossible, once you take the first step.

In gratitude of all the men and women who showed me the way, and sponsored and guided me to where I am today.

If you are woman, in a position to help other women, don’t back out of your duties to make room for others. Pull them up, bring them along, inject in them passion to lead. You will meet your purpose, and they will meet theirs, in return.
