Mogra

I have this intense need to hold and smell Mogra. I want it so badly that I might just go to the farmers market (after a year) tomorrow to see if my favorite florist is still getting it. There is nothing as comforting as a bunch of fresh jasmine at my desk. What an intense urge to smell something so simple. Such is love. How strange.

I received a beautiful saree as a gift today. A friend had gone to india and she brought it back for me. It is beautiful. So simple, and so gorgeous. A thin zari border with a tomato red shade, in crepe silk. I felt so warm and fuzzy just draping it. Ah saree and mogra go wel together. I need a vacation in Kerala in 2022! That’s it. Done ✅ Just need to make this happen. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy the lagoons, the warmth and hospitality of the people, their sarees, the food and the smell of the sea.

And while we are at it, I plan to make achar tomorrow. Just like Mom does. I harvested kilos lemons today. And I want to make something with them. So I’m just going to bite the bullet and make sweet lemon pickle.

Tara joined us for a 3mile urban hike today. We had a blast. And the reward with Coupa mocha was awesome.

I had a pretty draining week at work. So I need to replenish my energy levels this long weekend. Today was great. Tomorrow we are going for a hike to Pichetti Reserve and perhaps catch the sunset somewhere by the water. And then Monday we plan to chill at home and play games.

Mogra to Monday! I just let the flow take over. Now time for bed.
