Shubho Bijoya!

It’s a tricky thing to learn how to make your all time favorite sweet – moong dal halwa. Keeping all virtues of modesty aside, it is finger licking delicious, but it is also not a good idea to make often. Oh my god! I feel so accomplished and yet so scared of my new super power – all at the same time.

Can’t wait to eat it with luchis and Chole tomorrow. We are a day behind in our Durga Puja/Ashtami celebration. But that’s ok, coz our Durga is with us and she wanted to eat oat energy balls today. So we went with the flow and appeased our Durga’s American palette. Tomorrow is our bhog and Bijoya, and we will be streaming live and seeking blessings from the Ray clan. Can’t wait to meet all of them.

Shubho Bijoya and Happy Dussehra. A toast to the victory of truth and righteousness. Mythological reasons aside, I love Bijoya because it tells me that Diwali is just 20 days away 🙂 And that means that Thanksgiving is close by too. Which means Tara’s bday is almost here. And that means that Christmas is just a month from then, and in five days from then, the New Year begins 🙂 I like to race through Q4 like this! Makes it fun 🙂
