Ingredients – serves 4
Arabiata Sauce – 2 cups
Fresh Roma Tomatoes – 2 Chopped
Holland Tomatoes – 6 – Chopped in bigger chunks
Shallots – 4-6 – chopped
Cayenne Pepper – 1 tsp
Garlic – Chopped – 8-10 cloves
Red Pepper Flakes – 1tsp
Olive oil – 1 tbsp
Spicy Chicken Sausage – 4
3/4 cup whole grain pasta
8-10 basil leaves – chopped
Kale – chopped into pieces – 4 cupsSteps
Take out the sausage from the packet, cut them up into tiny round pieces and cook them in a skillet until they are brownish.
Boil a big pot of water and add the whole grain pasta and some oil to it. Cook the pasta and drain the water.
For the sauceTake a pan and add olive oil. Add the minced and chopped garlic to this.
Add some red chili flakes and cayenne pepper
Add shallots and cook a little.
Add the roma tomatoes and the Arabiata sauce
Cook the sauce a little
Add the chopped basil leaves
Now add the Kale and cook the ingredients togethe
Add the cooked chicken sausage
Now add the remaining holland tomatoes and cook for 3-5 minutes
Taste to check salt, pepper and spice, and also make sure that kale is cooked
Now take a dutch oven or a baking dish and layer the whole grain pasta
Add the sauce made above to this and add some holland tomatoes on the top
If you want, you can add some cheese at this point too
Bake the dish for 10 minutes in an oven at 350F.
