It is a shame that an awesome movie like Margin Call is not playing in the main stream theaters. I am not quite sure why should a movie with top notch caste (Kevin Spacey, Demi Moore, Zachary Quinto, Jeremy Irons, Stanley Tucci and others) be played at theaters that no one has heard of. It is depressing to see a great movie not get its share of media and publicity. It is a topic that we all share concerns about, and yet there were a total of 30 people in the hall yesterday. Why does America love denial? Even if you keep that emotion aside, the movie is a well-made thriller. It is a great piece of work that demands acknowledgement.
Excellent acting by Zachary Quinto, Jeremy Irons and Kevin Spacey. Hard hitting dialogues like – “Be first. Be smarter. Or cheat.” The movie is simply awesome.
Shame on us for not promoting good art !
I loved the tag line from the latest The Office episode – “Halloween is a celebration of fear.” Perhaps that’s why we are such a hollow society. We celebrate fear and condemn courage portrayed by directors like J.C.Chandor.
