Dal Makhani

Soak 3 parts black dal and 1 part rajma overnight

Next morning , presure cool rajma and dal with 1tsp red mirchi powder
and lots of Ginger(grated fine) and salt . 5-7 whistles.

Chop onions and tomatoes . (really small)

Heat oil, add bay leaves , jeera , garlic paste and Ginger paste

Put onions and cook till transparent

When onions are cooked add tomatoes and  masala and cook till the puri
leaves oil.

Now add th boiled rajma/dal mix and stir everything together.

Add water to make consistency liquid.

Let the mixture come to a boil.

Add milk (1cup) and turn the gas to minimum

Keep stirring after every few minutes. Check the consistency and taste. It takes me at least 90 minutes of stirring and slow heat to get it to a point that I like.

Sprinkle some garam masala in the end.
